Beer tender February 12, 2010 Georges A. Filho (Boston, Ma) Beer tender, works great, but it came with missing parts, specially the button part. So the beer tender it self, but if you going to get it make sure whoever is selling it has all the parts.
I was skeptical... February 11, 2010 Steve Jensen 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Okay, I was skeptical that this unit would work as advertised, but after having it for a while and enjoying a cool brew after work each evening it is a real pleasure own. The unit is whisper quiet and keeps the keg at the selected temperature. The LCD screen is clear and crisp and doesn't look cheap but rather looks like a quality machine. The unit knows how much beer is left by "weighing" the keg and is fairly accurate. The calendar which displays the number of days left is a nice touch as well. I only gave this 4 stars because there are a limited number (3) of beers to choose from. I would recommend this product to anyone who has been considering it but can't decide.
Awesome machine!!! February 6, 2010 M. Ackerman (Orlando, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. It keeps the beer chilled at the perfect temperature and I'm told it tastes much better than bottled beer. It takes up some space on the countertop, but is well worth it. Be sure to leave plenty of space around the back of the machine...it can overheat and get ruined if there's not enough ventilation around the motor. I highly recommend that you buy tall beer glasses to go with it, makes the beer taste better than if you serve the beer in small glasses.
Avg Product, Poor Service January 20, 2010 P. G. (Maryland USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have had luck previously on Krups product and this is the only reason gave this a try but I would not recommend it to anyone. foaming is excessive at times. The display stopped functioning 4 month after the purchase and when I called the manufacture and waited over 30 minutes to get to a representative, they ask for the ref id of the product and old me is not under warranty. So, I had to search for my receipt and they gave me a service center to take it and their service center was worse than their support on the phone. The lady was very rude and thought I owe her something. Purchasing this product is nothing but headache.
Cool but, small and how about replacement tubes!!!!!! January 18, 2010 M. Campbell 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Because they finally dropped the price on this I asked for it for Christmas. Only because Newcastle kegs work in it.
Unfortunately the Newcastle kegs have been a little hard to come by and much worse, the tubes that connect the keg to the spout are completely out of stock and it is impossible to find out when they will have more.
One last complaint, the kegs hold 14 beers and cost $20.00. Replacement tubes are 6 for $10.00. It is more expensive to go this route.
All that said it is awesome to have Newcastle on tap at home.
If you are a fan of Newcastle you know it isn't the same out of the bottle.
